Who You Are
We’re seeking a compassionate and creative Child & Youth Therapist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone trained in play therapy, art therapy, or music therapy, with experience supporting children and adolescents through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
The successful candidate will work with children and youth (ages 4–18) presenting with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, trauma, or family transitions. They will also work closely with parents to provide parent coaching, psychoeducation, and support for building secure, connected relationships at home.
We ask that you are available to be on-site 1-2 days/week based out of either our Hamilton or Mississauga clinic. Weekend and evening availability is also required.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Fully registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW).
- Formal music therapy/play therapy certification and experience in clinical settings is an asset.
- Ability to integrate music therapy techniques (e.g., improvisation, songwriting, receptive listening, lyric analysis) with psychotherapy frameworks is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to integrate client-centered care into clinical practice.
- Flexibility to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations, independently, and with various individuals or groups.
- Provide individual therapy using play, art, or music-based modalities
• Create tailored treatment plans
• Collaborate with caregivers and offer parenting support strategies
• Commitment to service excellence, including continuing education and continuous quality improvement. - Open to working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
- Minimum of 3–4 days per week; 24–30 hours available per week
- Evening availability: At least 2 days, 4 PM–8 PM

Compensation
- BeWell Health Centers offer a range of competitive compensation consistent with your level of credentialing. Examples of compensation packages include base-salary or practitioner split models.
